Privacy
This notice applies from 11 October 2026.
This notice says what happens to personal data when you use this site. The Slovenian text governs. The English text is a translation.
Who the controller is
The controller of this website is its publisher. No data protection officer is appointed. The publisher's legal name and postal address are not stated on this page. Write with the form at the bottom of this page. We reply to the email address you enter.
Right to object
You can object to processing that is based on legitimate interest. That is the visit record, the page-view count, a reply to your message, and the display of public law texts, including proposers' names. Send the objection with the form. The page-view count does not name you. The visit record, including the IP address, is made at the host because that is where the site runs. That record is ours. If you object, we can delete a message you sent from the mailbox.
What data we receive
There is no account. We do not ask for your name, age, or payment. If you send the form, you give the email address and the text yourself. The email address is not required by law. Without it the form does not send, and there is no reply. An error report also adds up to the last three entries from the browser console. Slovenian is the default language and is not in the address. English is in the address as ?lang=en. The language choice is also in the browser, in local storage under the key laws-diff.lang, not in a cookie. When you open a page, we record the visit through the host: the page address, and for English also ?lang=en, the IP address, and the browser type. That is this site's record. The IP address is in the host's records of the visit, not on one screen. The page-view count is separate and does not name you: the page, the referring page, the browser, the device, and the country. Proposers' names are taken from public official publications, not from those people. Statute texts are public.
Why, and on what basis
We show you laws, including proposers' names from public publications, because of a legitimate interest in making the public legislative record readable in one place, Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation. We reply to a form message because of a legitimate interest in answering what you chose to send, Article 6(1)(f). We count page views because of a legitimate interest in seeing which pages are used, Article 6(1)(f). The count does not use a cookie and does not name a visitor. We record the visit through the host so the site runs and can be protected, Article 6(1)(f). That record includes the IP address. We do not use consent. There is no automated decision-making, including profiling, Article 22.
Who receives data
The site is hosted by Vercel, Inc. The host keeps the visit record for us: the page address, and for English also ?lang=en, the IP address, and the browser type. What the host records there, we record, because that is where the site runs. Page views are counted by Vercel Web Analytics at the same host. Statute texts are stored in a database in the EU (Ireland). A form message is emailed to the publisher. The form is sent from your browser directly to Web3Forms (https://web3forms.com which delivers it by email; the message does not pass through this site's server. Web3Forms sees the address you type, the text, and, for an error report, up to three console entries. There is no advertising and no other embedded plugin.
Transfers outside the EU
The database of law texts is in Ireland, in the European Union. The host, Vercel, Inc., is a company in the United States. It may process the visit record and the page-view count outside the European Union, because the host keeps them for us. The host states that it uses the European Commission's standard contractual clauses from Decision 2021/914 and a certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Web3Forms sees a message in order to deliver it by email. This notice does not state where Web3Forms is located.
How long
English in the address (?lang=en) stays until you change the address, and it stays in browser history and in any link you send on. The language choice in the browser stays until you delete the site data. Deleting it in the browser does not delete the visit record. We keep the visit record and the page-view count for as long as the host keeps them under its rules and the plan in use, because that is where the site runs. This site does not keep a separate copy. We keep a form message in the mailbox while a reply is needed, and then delete it from the mailbox. The delivery service keeps it under its own rules. This site does not keep a copy of the message. Public law texts are not deleted.
Other rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, and restriction where the data is yours and we hold it. The right to data portability does not apply here, because the processing is not based on a contract or on consent. The visit record, including the IP address, is at the host because that is where the site runs. Send a request about it with the form. The page-view count does not name you, so there is no record in it under your name. We can correct a message you sent, send it back to you, or delete it from the mailbox. There is no consent, so there is none to withdraw.
Cookies
The site does not set cookies for advertising, for the page-view count, or for language. There is therefore no consent banner. The language is in the address if you choose English (?lang=en), and in the browser's local storage. Slovenian is not in the address.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. We do not keep a separate database of visitors on this site. The visit record is at the host, because that is where the site runs. There are no passwords, because there is no account.
Children
The site is not aimed at children. We do not ask for an age, and we do not open an account for a child. In Slovenia the age for a child's consent in the information society is 16. We do not use that age here, because we do not use consent. If a child sends the form, we receive only what was typed.
Changes
The date under the title is the day this text applies from. A new text is published on this page. The old text is not kept on the page.
